Unplugging and replugging both ends of the USB cable (device end and computer end)

Rebooting my computer with the device plugged in Unplugging and re-plugging the Audio Interface power supply I've already tried the following, to no avail: And it certainly doesn't show up in my DAW (Ableton Live 11). It doesn't show up in the Windows 10 Sound Preferences. I've checked everywhere for a semblance of connection to the device. I've tried doing this (multiple times) and the device is never detected. Whenever I re-install the driver, I get confirmation of successful install, then a pop-up appears when I try to click "Finish" saying that I need to disconnect and reconnect the Audio Interface to finish the install. My computer is running Windows 10, I have the device plugged directly into my PC, and I'm using the latest version of the Behringer Audio Driver from the UMC404HD product page. I've been trying for two days to get my UMC404HD Audio Interface to connect to my computer, and it won't freaking work. Thanks for trying to help me understand!!ĭeviceinfo.txt (6.I'm at my wit's end. I'm still limited to that despite the 4 channels on the Behringer.Īnd, if the sound card is the issue, could that issue be remedied by putting in a stand-alone sound card? I believe the one on this machine is built into the motherboard. I've learned how to split tracks into 2 mono tracks by using L and R. The whole purpose of buying the Behringer was to utilize 4 tracks at a time. Why would the soundcard be an issue if the Behringer is connected via USB? I used to use a 5 channel mixer and plug in via the LINE IN on the back of the PC, so I understand that limits me to 2 channels. I am completely ignorant as to what ASIO software is. For example, drum machine needs 2 channels for stereo, guitar and bass.

I do overdub, but sometimes it's convenient to start with a couple of things at once.
